One topic that came up often when we had our team meetings were how we would package our products to be delivered into the hands of our customers. We talked about cute, Instagrammable packaging, cool graphics on cards that would be placed into each box, nicely design care instruction booklets that would fit amazingly into our social media feed, and so on and so on.
We took a moment to step back after a ton of ideas and drafts were thrown out. It was at that moment we realized that every single piece of card, paper and craft tape (even if it's paper and not plastic and recycled) would still ultimately turn into waste.
So... is it worth it? We would love to see beautiful Instagram posts that could be shared of unboxing our products, but at the end of the day, is that what we value?
No.
So, when you do finally receive our products, you'll be getting a simple compostable/water soluble mailer bag. It may not fit well on your Instagram feed, so no pressure - but we do know that almost none of it will exist as waste. We hope that you see our baby wear the same way; that it's not something that will contribute to waste for a long, long time.
What we value is the quality of our Baby wear, with or without the excessive packaging! So we would love to hear your comments, and your pictures with our products.
